CHANEL: Illusion D'Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow

Vision and Fantasme

Chanel describes the shadows: 'This intensely shimmering long-wear eyeshadow offers true versatility. An innovative gel texture that is both soft and cushiony allows it to be worn as eyeshadow or eyeliner. Includes a specially designed shadow/liner brush, developed specifically for this unique formula.'

Vision is a luxurious gold, that is very pigmented. The consistency is a bit harder to work with than Fantasme, but I adore the colour so much I can overlook it. If you're not careful it can leave a lot of fallout on the face. The finish on the eyes does look so gorgeous.

Fantasme is  more of a sheer, white/silver glitter that doesn't have really have a base colour. Looks amazing taken from the lid right to the brow and just finished with liquid liner and mascara.

The texture of these shadows is a tad strange, they feel really spongy, not like a cream shadow but more of a mousse. They are a gel based formula but definitely do not feel like a gel, when you touch them they bounce back into place. They last a good 10 hours on the lid without creasing or fading, they give a really good colour pay off and I think they are such nice products.

They retail at £23.50 each at any Chanel counter.
